Organizing with Good Intentions 

Alex Sipple, one of three current Unify Cooperative founders is finally expounding on his success with his Get Outside KY business serving as a lightning rod for the new Unify Co-Op to develop a range of social activity and outdoor interest clubs. Over the Fall and Winter of 2024, Alex hopes "to organize several different clubs that will each meet monthly, they will be connected in the social media during the month, be part of our cloud network, meet monthly, and each club will host a planned 6-8 hour club activity or event in the community each month," he believes it will result in positive results and community engagement as the clubs manifest themselves, which they should based on demand. 

One of the other founders, Nicholas Wright, emphasized the importance of the outdoor clubs, stating, “The outdoor clubs program is perfectly aligned with our mission of enhancing sustainable recreation opportunities in Madison County that are carbon-negative and environmentally friendly.” This commitment to sustainability is further reflected in the cooperative’s annual tree planting initiative. Starting each April, on the 20th (4/20), in celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day, every associate member of the Unify Cooperative will be invited to plant trees during the Spring planting season. This initiative ensures that our outdoor activities are not only enjoyable but also contribute positively to the environment, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and community well-being.
